Crispy Roasted Brussels Sprouts

This recipe is perfect for novice or first-time cooks, because it requires minimal knife skills (zero if you buy the sprouts already trimmed and cleaned) and only four ingredients. The key to getting them extra crispy is to give the pan a good shake every 10 minutes or so.

Crispy Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed, washed and patted dry (if your sprouts are large, you can slice in half)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place Brussels sprouts on a parchment or foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Pour olive oil over sprouts, sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss with your hands until sprouts are evenly coated.
  • Space sprouts out on baking sheet so none are touching (this allows them to get brown and crispy and not steam).
  • Place sheet pan in oven and bake for 30 minutes, shaking the pan about every 10 minutes to allow sprouts to brown evenly.
